53 serán los largometrajes que conformen el line-up para la edición 2024 del Festival de Cine de Cannes.
Thierry Frémaux e Iris Knobloch, presidentes del festival, anunciaron la madrugada de este jueves los filmes elegidos que integran las múltiples secciones.
En competición por la codiciada Palme d’Or destaca Megalopolis, épica autofinanciada por su director, el legendario Francis Ford Coppola, así como las nuevas obras de autores como Andrea Arnold (American Honey), Jacques Audiard (El profeta, Rust and Bone), Ali Abbasi (Holly Spider), Sean Baker (Red Rocket), Paolo Sorrentino (Youth), Paul Schrader (El maestro jardinero) y David Cronenberg.
Kind of Kindness, la nueva colaboración de Yorgos Lanthimos (Pobres criaturas) con Emma Stone, también se proyectará dentro de competición.
Furiosa, precuela de Mad: Max: furia en el camino, se exhibirá fuera de competición, mientras que C’est Pai Moi, lo nuevo de Leos Carax, tendrá su estreno mundial.
