Get Out
Con el Óscar programado para esta noche, el día de ayer se celebró la trigésimasegunda edición de los Independent Spirit Awards, premiación que anualmente celebra lo mejor del cine independiente. Como se esperaba, Get Out, Call Me By Your Name, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri y I, Tonya fueron las películas más condecoradas de la noche, con dos victorias cada una.
Ingrid Goes West se alzó en la categoría de Mejor Ópera Prima y la veterana documentalista francesa, Agnes Varda, junto al artista y fotógrafo, JR, recibieron la mención de Mejor Documental por Faces Places.

En la categoría de Mejor Película Internacional, el director chileno Sebastián Lelio vuelve a aceptar un premio por Una Mujer Fantástica, lo cual reafirma su posición como la favorita en aquella categoría de cara al Óscar.
